Capturing more value from Guyana's bauxite.
Capturing greater economic value by processing Guyana's bauxite into higher-value industrial products — beneficiation, calcination, and the alumina pathway rather than raw-ore export.
Value-added processing is the next stage of Guyana's bauxite story.
Guyana has exported bauxite ore for decades. The next stage of value creation is downstream — beneficiation, calcination, and alumina production — capturing manufacturing margin in-country while supplying industrial and construction supply chains globally.
- Beneficiated bauxite for higher-value industrial use.
- Calcination and specialty alumina pathway.
- Renewable-powered processing to reduce embedded carbon.
- Co-located with the Integrated Industrial Platform.

From ore to industrial feedstock.
Elementum is advancing a bauxite processing concept focused on beneficiation. Feedstock assessment, process selection, product qualification, logistics, customer development, and potential offtake remain diligence workstreams — no customer or offtake is secured, and no refinery, smelter, capacity, or commercial production is implied. The concept assumes co-location with the Industrial Platform's shared infrastructure.
The bauxite platform is at feedstock assessment and concept stage. No smelter, alumina refinery, processing capacity, permit, customer, or secured offtake is represented or implied.
Qualitative process pathway
The analytical sequence a value-added bauxite concept must pass before any investment decision is taken.
- 01
Feedstock assessment
Characterization of available bauxite material and its variability.
- 02
Beneficiation & process selection
Evaluation of candidate upgrading and processing routes.
- 03
Product specification
Definition of target products against industrial requirements.
- 04
Logistics & offtake diligence
Transport, port interface, and commercial counterparty review.
- 05
Investment decision
Feasibility outcome determines whether the project proceeds.
Qualitative only. No capacity, permits, customers, or secured offtake are represented.
